This afternoon after a half-day of work, Lauren came over to whip up this very quick and impressive cranberry sauce. Here it is, if you need a last minute idea to bring to Thanksgiving tomorrow…
Friendsgiving Cranberry Sauce(from Ted Allen’s cointreau cranberry relish)
12 ounces frozen cranberries1 Granny Smith apple, diced1 cup sugar1/2 cup Grand Marnier1/2 cup water1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon cloves1 lemon, zested1 orange, zested
Throw all ingredients except for the zest into a pot over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, until you see the cranberries split in the middle.
Remove from heat, stir in the zests, and chill.
